SPUYSC selects Sophia Arellano as our February 2018 Player of the Month. Sophia is 12 years and was born in Oakland, CA. She attends Cal Prep in Richmond and she is in 7th grade.

Sophia started playing soccer when she was 6 years old. She started playing with San Pablo’s U-7 Rainbows with Coach Ruben Delgado. She now plays with the U-13 San Pablo Stars with Coach Jose Ruiz and also plays for the San Pablo Butterflies.

One of Sophia’s favorite soccer memories is her first game. She states that she had a lot of fun and worked very hard. She can remember her entire team trying very hard. Sophia states that she always has fun playing soccer.

Sophia would like to attend UCLA or UC Berkeley. She dreams of becoming a doctor.
